About Us
A few years back Darold spent several days riding his Arabian in the Washington State Centennial Wagon Train. While the horse was strong and gentle he was very animated and, after hours in the saddle with the horse bouncing in a continual prance, Darold was worn out! The next day he rode beside a rider on a Peruvian, the first time he had been near this breed of naturally gaited horse. He came home saying, "There's no need for me to bounce all day long. I don't need to be that miserable!"
Shortly afterward we went shopping and came home with Rubi, a wonderfully smooth riding horse with great Peruvian bloodlines. We liked her so much we decided to share our discovery. Our little herd expanded and now have three broodmares plus several horses for sale.
Our breeding goals are simple: quality, strength and affordability.
1. Quality. We seek quality by breeding mares with proven bloodlines to top quality stallions.
2. Strength. We seek to improve the strength of each generation of horses we breed. We will not follow the path of breeding weak animals for temporary profit.
3. Affordability. We're determined to maintain fair and affordable prices. Quality pleasure horses are our primary product. When they show well they demonstrate that Peruvians really are the world's premier riding horse.
Our horses are a hobby for us. That allows us the luxury of choosing and discriminating carefully and working slowly toward our goals. We look forward to sharing our enjoyment with you.
